3 Rivers Orthopaedic and Sports Injury Clinic

What are your business hours?

Meet Our Surgeons

Our practice hours are Monday – Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, (except public holidays).

Appointments  can be made either by telephoning the hospital directly, the practice number on 01923 848461 or by filling out the online form here.

What are your Clinic Financial Policies?

All clinic visits will be invoiced and are payable in full within 30 days.

For surgical and inpatient hospital services, provided by our clinicians, we will be invoice your insurance or provide you with the necessary information for you to file your claim. If we do not receive an insurance payment within a reasonable period of time, you will be expected to begin payments on your account. Services rendered may be paid by cash, cheque, or bank transfer (BACS).

How is insurance handled?

For services covered by medical insurance, we would be happy to assist you in filing your insurance forms. Please COMPLETE ALL NECESSARY INFORMATION, SIGN ALL AUTHORIZATIONS on the form and designate to whom the form should be sent. Disability forms and other medical forms are handled in the same manner. However, any disability or FMLA forms completed by our office are subject to a £10.00 fee which must be paid in advance. Please allow us 7-10 days to complete your form.

All invoices are payable within 30 days. Payments that are co-pay of your insurance contract must also be paid within 30 days. Failure to pay your co-pays at this time is a breach of contract between you and your health insurance company and we are obligated to report this lack of payment to your health insurance company.

Please remember that your medical insurance is a contract between you and your Insurance Company and that professional services are rendered and can be charged to the patient and not the insurance carrier. Although our Office would be happy in helping you to file your insurance, we cannot accept responsibility for collecting your claim or for negotiating a settlement on a disputed claim. If you feel that your Insurance Company does not fully reimburse you, or pay your claims quickly enough, we suggest you give them a call or contact your insurance representative. You pay the insurance premiums and deserve the best service from them. However some insurance companies do not fully cover some of our fees and you should check with us and your insurance company befoe embarking on a treatment schedule. Please click here for further information.

What are your Billing and Collection Procedures?

It is the objective of this Office to provide our patients with the best care and facilities at a reasonable cost. In an effort to eliminate the expense of billing and collection, we ask that you pay for these services as they are rendered. Upon request, special considerations may be extended in the event of prolonged illness, unemployment, or other circumstances. To avoid misunderstandings, we invite you to discuss financial problems early. A statement of your account will be sent to you on a monthly basis. However, after 90 days if your account remains unpaid, we will be forced to turn your account over to a Credit Bureau or Debt collection agency for collection. We strongly request that you do not let your account become delinquent.  Call 01923 848461 to discuss collection issues.

Will physiotherapy be required after surgery?

Major surgery on a joint may take two or three hours in the operating room. Getting a full range of motion, strength and flexibility back in that joint after surgery usually takes months. That's where pre-operative exercise and education and post-operative physiotherapy programs come in - to ensure you're physically and emotionally prepared for surgery, and to maximize your recovery after surgery. Together, such programs are among the most important determinants in the success of your surgery. We would be happy to recommend high quality physiotherapists that we work closely with in the clinic. Please click here for a list of our preferred physiotherapists.

What should I bring with me when I come for an appointment?

When you come for your appointment Remember to get the following:

  • Referral letter from your general practitioner
  • Your insurance company information.
  • Copies of surgical records, medical records, x-rays, MRIs, CT scans and so on from prior doctor visits.
  • If you have seen a physiotherapist, please bring a progress letter from the therapist.
